Independent Certifier

As an EDCM independent certifier, we ensure project compliance, ensuring that the project has been wholly completed in line with the clients specification, and meets all current legislation.

Our independent certifier role can also involve vetting of contractor proposals, review of working drawings and calculations to ensure a compliant scheme is acheived. On site review to confirm quality and workmanship can also be undertaken by our qualified engineers.

Building Regulations Compliance

The latest revisions to BR Parts L1 and L2 came into force in October 2010 along with the revised Part F.

A mandatory element of Building Regulations approval is production of carbon emission calculations (SBEM, SAP or approved simulation calculations), along with the provision of Energy Performance Certification (EPC's).

EDCM Consulting employs a number of accredited low carbon consultants and energy assessors, and is therefore able to guide clients through the compliance requirements in the most cost effective manner, and to produce all necessary documentary evidance including lodging as necessary on the National Database.

Building Thermal & Dynamic Solutions

EDCM can provide Dynamic Thermal modeling during the early stages of the design process, which enables clients to progress confidently with designs and cost analysis, having knowledge that the developments will perform. All new buildings require the carbon emissions to be calculated, with carbon emissions for Building Control approval being a major part of new design.

Our software solutions enable early design stage analysis as well as proof for submissions to Building control.
